The essence of New Testament worship is expressed in Romans 12:1. “Therefore I exhort you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice—alive, holy, and pleasing to God—which is your reasonable service.” (NET) To worship God is to obey God, offering our self as a living sacrifice. In other words, submitting and living for God is the ultimate expression of worship. One aspect of worship is singing praises.
